PowerPR was established to assist the Australian utilities (electricity, gas, water and renewable energy) sector as it enters a challenging era of significant change, particularly with an increasing emphasis on renewable energy.
PowerPR draws on political, media, public relations, marketing, issues and crisis management and digital expertise over more than 25 years with much of this experience gained nationally in the corporate and government energy sectors.
Paul has significant experience in energy sector communications roles, including with the Australian Energy Market Operator, United Energy, VENCorp and within Government. He has a keen understanding of the energy sector nationally and globally, including carbon capture and storage and other new energy technologies, gained as the industry has evolved over the past decade.
Paul has also provided public relations input to the Victorian Government’s Renewable Energy Target (VRET) scheme over the past 12 months – ensuring unparalleled capability in the Victorian and national energy sector.
Following an extensive and distinguished media career in national and regional newspapers, Ross has established and led strategic corporate communication functions (communications, stakeholder and media management, government relations, public relations, advertising, marketing functions) in some of Australia's largest energy utilities (e.g. CitiPower, Hydro Tasmania).
Ross has also provided executive communication and compliance services to government departments and agencies (e.g. cenitex, Australia Post, Country Fire Authority, Department of Justice & Regulation) and private enterprise (e.g. Cadbury Schweppes), the majority of which were undergoing major transformation programs. He was media spokesperson and crisis and issues management lead for all organisations that he worked with.
Tony has worked as a media and public relations consultant for Australian and international companies for more than 20 years.
Tony has held senior communications positions in the energy sector and a range of corporate roles, including with Hewlett-Packard (Australia and New Zealand), KPMG Consulting (Bearing Point) and a United States software developer which developed applications to manage the day-to-day operations of governments, municipal councils and utilities around the world.
David is a marketing and communications specialist with more than 20 years experience. He has extensive experience across the private and public sector, particularly in building authentic, credible and relevant marketing campaigns.
David has worked across a range of industry sectors including energy, ICT and manufacturing. He focuses on managing strategic projects, including internal and external campaigns and branding activities.
